We are a thriving congregation of people from many walks of life, many ages, and many theological backgrounds, drawn together by our Savior for his glory and our good.
Morning and evening worship on the Lord’s Day is the foundation for each new week. We offer Sunday School with classes for all ages from toddlers to adults and everyone in between. After a short break, we gather for Morning Worship. Following Morning Worship, regular fellowship meals are scheduled and enjoyed by many. Evening Worship closes out the Lord’s Day and prepares us to face the challenges of the coming week.
The Lord has gathered this variety of individuals and families to care for, support, and encourage one another in growth toward Godliness. We have many opportunities for both formal and informal learning and fellowship. There is a regular men’s Bible Study on Saturday mornings; there are several Women’s studies throughout the month and week; the youth meet one evening a week for fellowship and study. While the families of Grace Church choose a variety of educational options for their children, there is a thriving homeschool community within the congregation which meets regularly.
Members of the congregation are involved in outreach to students at Ohio State (including the international students), to refugees, in prison ministry, and to a local nursing home. We continue to be active in the support of our Presbytery with much participation in the Youth Summer Camp, hosting biannual Youth Rallies, and inviting area churches to an annual Reformation Service. We also support the OPC at large by hosting the Ministerial Training Institute of the OPC (MTIOPC). Annual events such as Vacation Bible School, a Father-Son campout, and the Presbyterial Women’s Retreat, which we occasionally host, offer further times of fellowship, education, encouragement, and refreshment.
The community also works hard to serve with mercy and love. Our pastors are involved in counseling as needs occur. Our Session is regularly involved in shepherding the people through delicate situations. Our diaconate is active in serving the needs of the congregation and community, exercising careful stewardship over the facility and congregation’s offerings. The Women of Grace are organized into committees which serve the needs of the church family as they rally together to serve with meals, celebrations, or any other work of support.
Soli Deo Gloria.
