In keeping with Acts 6:1-6, Grace appoints “…men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom…” to carry out the work of mercy ministry within our congregation. These men are ordained deacons.
Paul began serving as a Deacon at Grace Church in 1982. He and his wife Cynthia developed many close friendships over the years and they’ve had friends, including pastors, come and go over the years. No matter the change, the Lord has been faithful. Their entire family has been greatly blessed through Grace Church’s worship, teaching, and fellowship. Their four boys were each baptized at and grew up at Grace Church. Paul is thankful for the opportunity to serve as an officer of the church and cares deeply for its people, seeking to minister to them, to the broader church, and to the world in word and in deed.
Shortly after becoming a Christian at the age of 28, Charlie was introduced to the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. He has been attending Grace for over 30 years. Charlie married his wonderful wife Lea in 1993 and became the step-father to four awesome children. He is now a grandad of two little boys. Charlie has worked for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction as the agency’s Multimedia Affairs Administrator and documentarian since 1999. He worked with Pastor and OPC historian Charlie Dennison on the OP 30-year historical documentary of the denomination. Charlie also traveled to Uganda with Lea and Pastor Kessler to film and produce a video about the OPC’s work in Mbale and Karamoja.
Jason and his wife Dawn have three children. They have been members of Grace OPC since 2001, and Jason has been a deacon since 2014. He loves the people of Grace and is honored to try to minister the mercy of Christ to them. In his free time, Jason, who is a software developer by day, loves to walk in the woods with anyone who will go with him and with his dog, who always wants to go.

Bob has been a research chemist in the Columbus area for 39 years and now works as a consultant for a small chemical distributor in the Michigan/Ohio area. He enjoys doing handyman stuff, providing financial counseling, mentoring young men and handling all aspects of diaconal work both within the local church as well as for the Ohio Presbytery. He also loves traveling with his wife and spending time with grandchildren.
Andrew is a Deacon and the Treasurer at Grace OPC. He has attended Grace Church since shortly after its founding and remembers with fondness growing up in the church. Andrew has a degree in accounting and works in a finance role within the oil and gas industry. He and his wife Audrey have two sons. Outside of family, work, and church responsibilities, Andrew enjoys cycling, following most sports, and spending quality time with good friends. Having been privileged to worship with four generations of family at Grace Church over the years, Andrew gives thanks that, indeed, “…the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations.”
